Armor | Dark Alliance Wiki

Armor in Dark Alliance features sets and pieces that can provide additional bonuses to your character. Armor grants defensive properties against various enemies and also provides with different fixed and random modifiers that affect the character's stats. Armor Sets and pieces are usually obtained as rewards from completing quests, purchased from merchants, looted from various locations, dropped by enemies and bosses, or crafted by using the required materials.

Armor Rarity & Rank

Each Armor piece can be found in different Rarities, which means that a Legendary version of a piece of equipment or a full Armor Set will grant better Stats than the Common version. Besides, higher Rarity equipment also features its own aesthetics

Common ♦ Uncommon ♦ Rare ♦ Epic ♦ Legendary

Besides Rarity, each piece of equipment features a Rank from 1 to 5. The higher the Rank, the better the piece's stats. Therefore, you may want to get not only a Legendary version of an item, but also rank 5 of that Legendary item to obtain the better stats.

Armor Upgrade

Unlinke Rarity and Rank, Armor Level can be upgraded by talking to Kartik. Each Armor piece can be upgraded up to Level 3, the higher the level the better the protection.

Armor Level 1: provides Armor +1
Armor Level 2: provides Armor +2
Armor Level 3: provides Armor +3

To upgrade Armor level, you will need both Gold () and Materials. The rarity of the item you want to upgrade will settle the rarity of the Crystals you are going to need. Please visit the Merchant page for more information.

Dark Alliance Armor

Armor Sets in Dark Alliance are a combination of different pieces of Armor. Armor Sets provide players with protection and resistances against different type of damage and may reduce certain negative status effects Wearing Armor Sets grants the player additional bonuses to defense and damage, and it also changes the character's appearance.

Armor Set Bonuses

Armor Sets provide our character with a variety of bonuses. These bonuses vary not only in the outfit you wear, but also in the number of pieces of the same Armor Set that you equip. You can use 3.5 or 8 pieces from a set to get different bonuses.
Players can equip Armor pieces with different Rarity, Level, and Rank and still benefit from bonuses as long as the pieces belong to the same Armor Set.

Armor Set Aesthetics

Armor Set styles vary based on the Rarity of the different pieces that players equip. This gives players a wide variety of character customization, as each piece of armor varies in aesthetics abased on its Rarity but affecting also Stats.
On the other hand, players can also choose to change their hero appeareance by using Skins at the Merchant. Skins are purely cosmetic and do not change the Equipment's combat stats.
