Defense is one of the Main Stats in Dark Alliance. Defense is the overall value of the following Stats: Hit Points, Armor (Stat) and Condition Resistance. Defense is also affected by the Equipment, the Feats and the Attributes of the corresponding hero.

How to increase Defense
The following Equipment increases the Defense of your hero:
- Warden of Mielikki Set (3 Pieces: +0.5% HP Regen per Second, 5 Pieces: +1% HP Regen per Second)
- Sorcere's Sentinel Helm (3 Pieces: +2% Life Steal, 5 Pieces: +5% Life Steal)
Spending an Attribute Point on the following Attributes will increase Defense of your hero:
Spending a Feat Point on the following Feats will increase Defense of your hero:
- Healer (Increases HP when getting raised to 100%)
- Tough (10% Max HP Bonus)
- Defender (15% Armor Bonus)
- Light Armor Master (7% Armor Bonus)
- Medium Armor Master (10% Armor Bonus)
- Heavy Armor Master (25% Armor Bonus)
- Indomitable (30% Armor Bonus when below 40% HP)
- Dwarven Fortitude (20% Condition Resistance Bonus)
- Steel Will (10% Condition Resistance Bonus)
- Mobile (15% Armor Bonus)
- Defensive Duelist (Converts 100% of Dexterity into Armor)
- Uncanny Dodge (15% Armor Bonus for 2 seconds after an Evade)
- Fury Of Tempus (3% Lifesteal on all damage inflicted)
- Danger Sense (10% Armor Bonus)
- Hardy (15% Max HP Bonus)
