Return of the Tyrant is a Mission in Dark Alliance. Return of the Tyrant is the third act of The Order of the One Light. Information
Kessel did not have the Shard to help him dominate creatures, but the power the cultists had given him was still dangerous.
Though few had answered Kessell's call, in time, they would grow and be a threat to the entire Dale.
Now was the time to deal with Kessell once and for all.

Walkthrough
Fight through the forces guarding the elevator to the tower-top
Start moving forward. To the front there's a tablet. Follow the main path, down the stairs and up again. Take the gold loot on the right, then to the left. Up the stairs, defeat the Cultists. There's a chest on your left. Go through the bridge, jump, and defeat the Cultists. At this point, you will be able to perform a Short Rest.
Loot the chest on the right and take the tome on the right. Approach to the edge of the bridge and take the portal to the other side. Up the stairs, defeat the Duergar. There's a Tome on the back left corner. Go up the stairs to the next area.
Take the elevator to the tower top
Loot the chest on the left, and stand over the elevator and pull the lever.
Approach the altar
Enter the area, you may skip the cutscene.
Defeat Akar Kessell, the Dead Tyrant of Icewind Dale
Defeat Akar Kessell. Akar has many stages. Once you dropped his health to zero, he will respawn in the center of the area with a new health bar. If you saved your ultimate for the boss fight, use it now to defeat him quickly. He will try to keep distance and attack you with ranged powers. Once you dropped his health back to zero again, he will respawn with a greenish aura and will cast more aggresive spells quicker than before. Wait for him at the point where he always respawn to start attacking him as soon as you can. The next time he will appear with a yellow aura. He will revive once again, and then you will have to defeat him him one last time, which triggers a cutscene of his death.
