Status Effects in Dark Alliance are bonuses or penalties that will any character for a certain amount of time. Status Effects are triggered by certain actions or events during your gameplay. There are three types of Status Effects: Buff , Debuff and Conditions. Each Status Effect has a symbol that will appear on your screen when your character is affected by it.

Primal Instinct (Status Effect)
The affected gains scaling Damage and Armor Bonuses based on how many Hit Points he is missing.

Regeneration
Regeneration of a certain amount of hit points per second.

Shielded
Shielded is represented in a white bar, the damage received is inflicted to this bar and not the health bar until the Shield bar gets depleted. It also prevents getting stunned or fall to the ground.

Stalwart
Grants bonus Strength.

Unstoppable
Prevents stun, interruption and falling to the ground for a short period, but does not prevent any damage received.

Vampiric
Grants lifesteal when damaging enemies.
Debuff

Burning
Burning inflict a certain amount of Fire Damage per second.

Charmed
When you are charmed you can't attack enemies.

Corrupted
(Player) - Prevents the use of potions

Cursed
Increases Elemental damage taken by target by 25%

Fatigued
Slower fighting animations.

Frightened
Frightened effect decreases the complete character movement. You will be unable to move.

Hexed
Inflict a certain amount of Necrotic Damage per second.

Poisoned
The Poisoned Status Effect inflicts certain damage per second during a short time.

Slowed
Slowed status effect decreases the movement speed temporarily.

Weakened
Increases Physical Damage taken by target by 25%
Conditions

Blinded
While Blinded your attacks will missing.

Confused
Character movements are reversed.

Ethereal
A type of invisibility that ends if the player takes damage or deals it.

Frozen
Gained by receiving enough Cold Damage, when Frozen you won't be able to move.

Grappled
Some enemies drop huge bear traps , that when caught you won't be able to move until freed.

Invisible
Enemies won't attack any invisible target.

Taunted
Taunted enemies will focus their attacks on Bruenor
