Walkthrough

Interact with the map and select the Trials of Tempus. Turn back and head down the first set of stairs directly in front of you, then head left and go up the next staircase until you reach a rune-like inscription on the ground. Interact with it to start the Quest.

You will be given basic instructions, like perform a light attack, a Ranged Attack, how to perform combos, etc. You will be facing only one type of Enemy, and they are basically harmless, as they will only act according to the learning process.

Once you complete all the objectives one by one, eventually you will be asked to loot the chest, ending this act.

Goblins at the Gates

Information

The united peoples of Icewind Dale had defeated Kessell's armies and destroyed his Crystal Tower.

But the dwarven warriors of Clan Battlehammer returned home to find their walls overrun, their people fleeing the valley. 

We rushed to their aid, fighting our way through the goblins and verbeeg to find the goblin commander and put an end to this siege.

Main Objective:

♦ Destroy the Supply camp's ballista.

Walkthrough

On the first Act of Companions of Icewind Dale, you will encounter GoblinsVerbeegs and Cultists. It is recommended not to skip any enemy and defeat them all to loot their drops and gain additional XP. On this Act you will have to make your way to four locations, where you'll have to fight a wave of enemies to be able to perform a short rest and destroy a Ballista on each location. You may encounter zones with icy ground. If you step on icy ground you will suffer Cold Damage and you may gain Slowed status effect for a short period. Avoid stepping on icy ground when it's possible or sprint quickly out of it. A waypoint mark on your screen will always indicate you where to go to reach the objective locations but it is recommended to always explore each alternative way to find additional loot, find the Dwarven Mugs and find Mogthump the Sticker and defeat him to complete the Optional objectives.

Defeat the Goblin Commander and his Verbeeg Lieutenant

Once you destroyed the four ballistas. Head to the elevator and activate the switch on the floor, to go up. Go ahead the next set of stairs to complete the objective and face Ploobo Bonesucker and Greags the Ear-lopper. Note that common goblins will also spawn from the sides while you face the Bosses. Try to focus on one of the Bosses first, and then move on to the other one. Once you defeat them, the first Act will be completed.

Halls of the Duergar

Information

It was not Goblins that drove the Battlehammers from their halls. It was Duergar. They came from the Underdark and had penetrated the lower Halls, exposing the dwarved to attack.

With the dwarven warriors off fighting Kessell, those dwarves who remained behind were no match for the invading duergar.

Before the Battlehammer Halls could be secured, we would have to seal the duergar breaching tunnels.

Walkthrough

On the second Act of Companions of Icewind Dale, you will encounter Duergar and Trolls. It is recommended not to skip any enemy and defeat them all to loot their drops and gain additional XP. On this Act you will have to make your way to the Halls, find the elevator's lever handle, find and clear three duergar locations, then finally locate the dwarven foundry and retrieve the explosive barrel and locate the mushroom cave. A waypoint mark on your screen will always indicate you where to go to reach the objective locations but it is recommended to always explore each alternative way to find additional loot, find and destroy the duergar supplies (wooden carts) and find the Gray Stalkers and defeat them to complete the Optional objectives.

You will be able to perform a rest at the moment you have to collect the first explosive barrel, at the moment you have to collect the lever handle, after defeating two Trolls, and the last short rest becomes available after defeating three Trolls before the bost fight.

Defeat Stonegrinder

Find Stonegrinder, he uses lightning-based attacks and hits hard. Use the red barrels in the battlefield to your advantage. Once defeated you will complete the act.

Bangor's Span

Information

The Duergar we faced were but an advanced force of legions on approach along Bangor's Span - the lone gateway to the Underdark.

Dwarven sappers had collapsed bridges and tunnels all across their domain, but they had been unable to reach the Span.

It was up to us. Destroy Bangor's Span and the duergar army would be safely stranded in the Underdark. But we would first have to face the elite force of duergar holding the Span's entry.

Walkthrough

On the third Act of Companions of Icewind Dale, you will encounter DuergarStygian Raiders and Stygian Charger. It is recommended not to skip any enemy and defeat them all to loot their drops and gain additional XP. On this Act you will have to reach Bangor's Span. A waypoint mark on your screen will always indicate you where to go to reach the objective locations but it is recommended to always explore each alternative way to find additional loot, find and destroy the duergar supplies (wooden carts) and find the Gray Stalkers and defeat them to complete the Optional objectives.

You will have multiple chances to perform a short rest: After defeating the first group of Stygian Raiders, and another one after defeating the second group of Stygian Raiders. There's another short rest after crossing a wooden bridge and defeat some Duergar and then the last short rest becomes available when you find the last ballista after defeating the Duergar and the Stygian Raiders.

Defeat Garnn and Murdunn

You will find a lever that lowers a wooden platform. Jump on it and them jump to your right. collect the chest and the gold sacks and then activate the lever to cross the spikes without problem. Head to the elevator and activate the lever here too. A cutscene will trigger. You will be tossed directly into the boss battle after the cutscene, you will have to face Garnn & Murdunn. Garnn is the one with the shield, and Murdunn is the spellcaster. Duergar will spawn during the fight so be mindful of that. Defeat them.

The Goblin's Shard Walkthrough

A goblin named Hamboog claims to have found the Shard and has taken over a part of the Dwarven Valley where his horde is building him a 'Crystal Tower'.

The Goblin Valley

Information:

Goblins had begun constructing a twoer to secure their goothold in Bruenor's home, and had spread out from that stronghold into the Dwarven Valley.

The first step to clear out the goblins was breaking into the goblin fort guarding the entrance to Rugrib's Quarter.

We would have to recover explosives to blow our way through their fortifications and then take out the foreman and his Verbeeg enforcer.

Walkthrough

On the first Act of The Goblin's Shard, you will encounter Goblins and Verbeeg. It is recommended not to skip any enemy and defeat them all to loot their drops and gain additional XP. On this Act you will have to make your way to the indicated locations and retrieve the four explosive barrels, a short rest will become available at each location after defeating the enemies that guard the collectable explosive barrels that you must gather.. You may encounter zones with poisonous plants. If you get caught by it's effect you will gain the Poisoned status effect for a short period. Avoid staying close to those plants and sprint quickly if you have to cross an area full of them. A waypoint mark on your screen will always indicate you where to go to reach the objective locations but it is recommended to always explore each alternative way to find additional loot, find the goblin supplies (wooden carts) and find Screetch the Foreman and defeat him to complete the Optional objectives. In this level you may find portal shortcuts that lead to hidden areas.

Reach the goblin fort

Once you retrieved the four explosive barrels, head to the fort gate and deploy the four explosive barrels there to open the gate.

Defeat Slugvogg

Defeat the Goblins and defeat Slugvogg.

Goffin's Door

Information

Emperor Hamboog, he called himself. This goblin claimed to have found the Shard, but what his goblin horde was constructing was no Crystal Tower.

There was only one way into the canyon where Hamboog was building his tower. Its entry was held by Goffin's Door, but the door's runestone locks were scaterred across Rugrib's Quarter.

And so before we stormed the tower, we would recover the runestones, engage those locks on Goffin's Door, and seal Hamboog in.

Enter the fort guarding Goffin's Door

Once you found the four runestones, head to the fort gate.

Seal Goffin's Door

Place the four runestones on the placeholders on the ground.

Defeat Vrogulb Frostgrip and his minions

Vrogulb FrostgripIcebiter and Nelgand the Slurper will come out from the hatch doors on the ground. It is recommended to use the ultimate and focus all your attacks to one of these enemies to defeat 1 one them as quick as you can. Icebiter will inflict Cold Damage. Nelgand the Slurper fights like a Verbeeg. And Vrogulb Frostgrip will cast ranged attacks. Defeat them to complete the Act and the Quest.

The Goblin Tower

Information

We had sealed Hamboog within his canyon, but left unchecked, he would eventually break free.

If that happened, all of Ten- Towns would suffer raids from his goblin horde. And so now was the time to assault his throne room.

Once Hamboog was defeated, we would tear down his tower and restore dignity to at least this part of the Dwarven Valley.

Walkthrough

On the third Act of The Goblin's Shard, you will encounter Goblins and multiple Goblin Booyahgs. It is recommended not to skip any enemy and defeat them all to loot their drops and gain additional XP. On this Act you will have to make your way to Hamboog's Crystal Tower, this locations doesn't have as many alternative way as Act I and Act II, but it has better loot. A waypoint mark on your screen will always indicate you where to go, to reach the objective locations but it is recommended to always explore each alternative way to find additional loot. This Act has no optional quests.

A short rest becomes available after you defeat the second group of Goblins. And there's another short rest not very far from the first one after defeating a group of Goblins, Duergar and a Verbeeg.

Reach Hamboog's Crystal Tower

You will know when you are at Hamboog's Crystal Tower because your arrival will trigger a cutscene. And a boss fight will begin right after that cutscene finishes.

Eliminate Gorn the Disheveled

You may ignore the Goblins and Duergar around unless they really get in your way and prioritize the minibosses. Find Gorn the Disheveled coming out from behind of one of the totems and defeat him to neutralize the first totem.

Eliminate Kroolpee the Putrid

You may ignore the Goblins and Duergar around unless they really get in your way and prioritize the minibosses. Find Kroolpee the Putrid coming out from behind of one of the totems and defeat him to neutralize the second totem.

Eliminate Burchazz the Nimble

You may ignore the Goblins and Duergar around unless they really get in your way and prioritize the minibosses. Find Burchazz the Nimble coming out from behind of one of the totems and defeat him to neutralize the third totem.

Eliminate Knox the Pain Lover

You may ignore the Goblins and Duergar around unless they really get in your way and prioritize the minibosses. Find Knox the Pain Lover coming out from behind of one of the totems and defeat him to neutralize the fourth totem.

Defeat Emperor Hamboog

Now Emperor Hamboog won't be protected by the force field. Defeat him.

Information

Verbeeg and Goblins had worked together to invade the Dwarven Valley, but some had broken off and had taken Annuragon's Forge.

We would have to take out the verbeeg holding the forge gates before dealing with whatever horros we would find within.

To find the verbeeg, we would only have to follow the sound of their voices.

Walkthrough

On the first Act of Verbeeg Jamboree, you will encounter Goblins, Duergar, Verbeeg and Gnolls. It is recommended not to skip any enemy and defeat them all to loot their drops and gain additional XP. On this Act you will have to make your way to the Verbeeg Camp and then find the missing Verbeeg, Gutnir Widebelly. A waypoint mark on your screen will always indicate you where to go to reach the objective locations but it is recommended to always explore each alternative way to find additional loot, find and destroy the Weapon Racks, then find Flicker the Toe Thief and defeat him to complete the Optional objectives.

A short rest will become available after you defeat the first Goblin Booyahg you encounter, another one after you defeat a Troll in a blue area, and then after you encounter a Gnoll. When you defeat the Verbeeg at the camp there's another available short rest.

Defeat Gutnir Widebelly

Gutnir Widebelly will spawn at the gate. He is like a common Verbeeg with more health, if you saved your ultimate, use it against him to finish him off quickly.

Information

Though dwarven sappers had cut off access to the forge from their Halls, the verbeeg managed to break in through the exterior gate.

What they didn't count on were the duergar who had their own designs on Annuragon's Forge.

The duergar had hidden the runestone keys to lock the forge gate. We would have to recover those keys before we could enter the forge and deal with the verbeeg inside.

On this Act you will have to make your way to Annuragon's Tomb, then locate Gruuln Threechin and defeat him, reach the statue of Annuragon, then to the mushroom field. On each of these locations you will be able to collect a runestone. Once you have the four runestones head to Annuragon's Forge entrance and defeat Thurn Dreamreader. A waypoint mark on your screen will always indicate you where to go to reach the objective locations but it is recommended to always explore each alternative way to find additional loot, find and destroy the Dwarven Mugs, then find Hoarks Shalefoot and defeat him to complete the Optional objectives.

A short rest will become available after you defeat a group of Goblins and Duergar, the next short rest is found after you defeat Gruuln Threechin. Another one is available after you defeat the Trolls to retrieve the runestone near Annuragon's Statue. And the last one at the mushroom field.

A short rest will become available after you defeat the first group of Verbeeg, Goblins and Duergar after crossing the gate. The second short rest is found after crossing a concrete bridge and defeating another group of Verbeeg, Goblins and Duergar. The third short rest is at the railway you will find after climbing a ladder

Defeat the Chef

This area is surrounded by fire platforms, avoid them as you fight The Chef. If you saved your ultimate for the final boss, use it to defeat him quickly. When you defeat him a final cutscene will show how he falls to the lava.

An Infernal Dispute

Information

The Order of the One Light, they called themselves - cultists who worshipped the Crystal Shard like a god.

We found the Order's fortress - hidden within the Spine of the World. They were under siege by the forces of Levistus and had erected a magical barrier to keep the devils at bay.

We would have to recover the Netherese Keystones to bring down that barrier before we coul enter the fortress and deal with the mages within.

Walkthrough

On the first Act of The Order of the One Light, you will encounter Stygian Raiders, Stygian Charger and Cultists. It is recommended not to skip any enemy and defeat them all to loot their drops and gain additional XP. On this Act you will have to make to find and gather the Netherese Keystones, to deactivate the magical barrier near the end of the mission and gain access to Skornn Soulreaver and defeat him. You may encounter zones with icy ground that you will be able to cross without getting harmed by approach a firesword nearby. If you step on icy ground you will suffer Cold Damage and you may gain Slowed status effect for a short period. A waypoint mark on your screen will always indicate you where to go to reach the objective locations but it is recommended to always explore each alternative way to find additional loot, find and destroy the cultist urns,  find the First Pick crew and defeat them to complete the Optional objectives.

You will be able to perform a short rest when you reach the Balckburn Gate after defeating the enemies. There's another short rest available after you defeat the forces holding the broken bridge and the last short rest is available after crossing the broken bridge.

Defeat Skornn Soulreaver

Defeath Skornn Soulreaver and the Stygian Raiders. The Skornn Soulreaver is slow, so keep distance and take the Stygians first. If you saved the ultimate for the last boss, use it to defeat him quickly.

Order of the One Light

Information

Crystal cult necromancers had reanimated the corpse of Akar Kessell and granted him arcane powers he never achiever in life.

From the safety of the warded inner sanctum of their fortress, he called out to any ally that would assist his rise to power once again.

We would need to break down the sanctum's defenses before we could deal with Kessell himself, hopefully, for the last time.

On this Act you will have to make your way to find and destroy the urns to be able to reach the Boss fight area at the end. You may encounter zones with icy ground that you will be able to cross without getting harmed by approach a firesword nearby. If you step on icy ground you will suffer Cold Damage and you may gain Slowed status effect for a short period. A waypoint mark on your screen will always indicate you where to go to accomplish the next objective but it is recommended to always explore each alternative way to find additional loot, find the soul coins and find Wennir the Consumed and defeat him to complete the Optional objectives.

When you defeat the first group of Duergar and Cultists, a short rest will become available. You will be able to perform a short rest again when you reach the mining pit after defeating the enemies around. If you find and defeat Orun Bentblade and the group of enemies with him, another short rest will be also available. And before entering the final boss area, you will encounter two Stygian Chargers near the edge to the front, a short rest will become available after you defeat them.

On the third Act of The Order of the One Light, you will encounter Cultists and Duergar. It is recommended not to skip any enemy and defeat them all to loot their drops and gain additional XP. On this Act you will have to make defeat some groups of enemies through a long bridge to take an elevator, to the next area where you'll have to fight Akar Kessel. You may encounter zones with icy ground that you will be able to cross without getting harmed by approach a firesword nearby. If you step on icy ground you will suffer Cold Damage and you may gain Slowed status effect for a short period. A waypoint mark on your screen will always indicate you where to go to accomplish the next objective but it is recommended to always explore each alternative way to find additional loot. 

Defeat Akar Kessell, the Dead Tyrant of Icewind Dale

Defeat Akar Kessell. Akar Kessell has many stages. Once you dropped his health to zero, he will respawn in the center of the area with a new health bar. If you saved your ultimate for the boss fight, use it now to defeat him quickly. He will try to keep distance and attack you with ranged powers. Once you dropped his health back to zero again, he will respawn with a greenish aura and will cast more aggresive spells quicker than before. Wait for him at the point where he always respawn to start attacking him as soon as you can. The next time he will appear with a yellow aura. He will revive once again, and then you will have to defeat him him one last time, which triggers a cutscene of his death.

Information

Kelvin's Calm was named for the great frost giant king of old who was buried beneath it, so the legend told.

Utaar was one of the few remaining frost giant kings of Icewind Dale. He had delved deep under Kelvin's Calm and broken the seals set by the clerics of Tempus on the Tomb of Kelvin

Utaar's actions had disturbed the dead, and we would have to lay them back to rest before following Utaar into the catacombs of Kelvin's fallen city.

Walkthrough

On the first Act of The Mask of Kelvin, you will encounter Goblins, Goblin Booyahg, Goblin Captain, Verbeeg, Wraith, Frost Giants and Trolls. It is recommended not to skip any enemy and defeat them all to loot their drops and gain additional XP. On this Act you will have to make your way and purge four Tempus Shrines, where you'll have to fight a wave of enemies to be able to perform a short rest. You may encounter zones with icy ground. If you step on icy ground you will suffer Cold Damage and you may gain Slowed status effect for a short period. There are fireplaces and firesword from where you can gain the Warmth effect to avoid getting any damage by walking through the icy ground and explore new ways, these fireplaces are sometimes hidden by some rocks you'll have to wreck off to be able to find them. Avoid stepping on icy ground when it's possible or sprint quickly out of it. Information

Utaar sought the Mask of Kelvin, believing that the artifact of his forefather would help him recover the Crystal Shard.

On this Act you will have to make your way to retrieve four runestones from different enemies, you will be able to perform a short rest each time your enemies from a runestone. There are fireplaces and firesword from where you can gain the Warmth effect to avoid getting any damage by walking through the icy ground and explore new ways, these fireplaces are sometimes hidden by some rocks you'll have to wreck off to be able to find them. Reach the central Island Netherese Gate

Follow the waypoints to the last portal. Place the Netherese Keystones on the 4 pilars and defeat the Kvorn the Gatekeeper and the Wraith. Defeat the Wraith first far from Kvorn, then fight Kvorn trying to giving him no rest so he's never able to finish any combat animation. If you saved your Ultimate, use it to defeat him quickly.

And so we delved into Kelvin's Tomb ourselves, seeking out Utaar so that we could put a stop to this madness.

There's a short rest after the broken bridge available. A new short rest is available half-way while traversin the floating island, and another one after traversing it. The last short rest becomes available after defeating Druunr, Jarl of the Frostfields.

Defeat the Spirit of Kelvin

Defeat Kelvin, this is the final boss of the level, you may use your Ultimate against him to finish him off quickly.

The Floating City

Information

Chardalyn crystals are plentiful in the ruins under Kelvini's Cairn. Their magic once helped keep Kelvin's floating city in the clouds.

But now, duergar had moved in to mine the chardalyn from the city's ruins and were trucking it down deep into the catacombs.

Four runeswords contrlled the entrance to the lower mines, and we would have to light them all to press deeper into the duergar operation.

On the first Act of Crystalline Dreams, you will encounter Duergar, Cultists, Verbeeg and Trolls. It is recommended not to skip any enemy and defeat them all to loot their drops and gain additional XP. On this Act you will have to make your way to activate the runeswords, this location is not very linear. You may encounter zones with poisonous plants or poisonous ground. If you step on poisonous ground or stay close to a poisnous plant, you will get Poison damage and maybe gain the Poisoned effect. Poisonous plants can be dodge by sprinting through them quickly. Poisonous ground can be cleared with explosives. A waypoint mark on your screen will always indicate you where to go to reach the objective locations but it is recommended to always explore each alternative way to find additional loot, destroy the giant urns and find Horbolt Redpick and defeat him to accomplish the optional objectives for extra experience.

There is a short rest available after fighitng the first group of Cultists and Duergar. There next short rests are available right before activating the runeswords.

Defeat Arim the Bonescribe and the Cultists, charge your ultimate by the defeating the Cultists first and use it against Arim.

Crystal Harvest

Information

The dwarves had long abandoned the mines under Kelvin's Cairn due to the toxic presence of crystal remnant - the remains of Kelvin's Crystal Towers.

Such concerns were of no matter to Duergar, nor to the cultists who had come to entreat with the being the duergar served.

We would have to run the gauntlet of duergar and cultist minions before we could come face-to-face with this entity.

On this Act you will have to make your way to defeat the enemy defenses and destroy their ballistas, then defeat the Cultists in the mine tunnels. You may encounter zones with poisonous plants or poisonous ground. If you step on poisonous ground or stay close to a poisnous plant, you will get Poison damage and maybe gain the Poisoned effect. Poisonous plants can be dodge by sprinting through them quickly. Poisonous ground can be cleared with explosives. A waypoint mark on your screen will always indicate you where to go to reach the objective locations but it is recommended to always explore each alternative way to find additional loot, destroy the duergar supplies (Duergar Supplies are wooden carts) and find the Scarred Ones and defeat them to accomplish the optional objectives for extra experience.

A short rest will become available after defeating a group of Duergar, Verbeeg and Cultists while you are trying to reach the old mining shaft. Another short rest can be found after defeat a group of Verbeeg while you reach the old lookout.

Defeat Fenji Coldeye

Defeat Fenji Coldeye. Charge your ultimate defeating the Cultists around and use your Ultimate against Fenji Coldeye to defeat him quickly.

A Crystal Crown

Information

Hagedorn was the name that echoed in our minds. It was what had cominated the duergar. An aberration. A beholder.

Hagedorn was combining chardalyn and crystal remnant, using its magic to form the materials into some sort of arcane device.

We would have to defeat Hagedorn and destroy the artifact it was trying to create. its own dreamed-up manifestation of the Crystal Shard.

Walkthrough

Reach the old collapsed mine entrance

Go to the front, before you reach the portal, there's a Tablet on its left. Go through the portal. Climb to the left, defeat the Duergar. Avoid getting surrounded by them. There's a tome on the left. Go to the front, follow the railway, destroy the explosive barrel with a ranged attack to clear the toxic field. Loot the chest. Take the portal, to the right corner there's a chest, move forward, jump down to the next area.

Defeat the last of Hagedron's defenders

Defeat the Verbeeg and the Cultists. A short rest will be available at this point.

Use the portal and enter Hagedorn's Lair

Follow the waypoints to the portal. Go through it to the next area, you may skip the cutscene if you want to.

Defeat Hagedorn

If you saved your ultimate for the final boss, use it now. Wait until Hagedorn attacks you, dodge it and attack it while its animation leaves it exposed for a short time. Keep distance whenever it launches energy balls around, use ranged attacks. When it floats while it make thunder attacks, Hagedorn becomes Inmune, so focus on dodging. Stay close to edge of the platform and whenever Hagedorn makes it's strongest attack, you must jump to the closest platform around quickly. Defeat Hagedorn.

The Hunting Grounds

Information

When Wulfgar and I slew the white dragon, Icingdeath, no tears were shed. The beast was a menace.

But now, our actions had brought kingdeath's mate, Icewind, back to the Dale to exact her vengeance.

Some creatures were serving the dragon, bringing her prisoners in exchange for their own lives. We would root them out and discover from them where Icewind had made her lair.

The Hall of Judgement

Information

Icewind had made her lair within the ruined city of Netherhall atop the broken temple of Othea.

Approaching that broken city on the surface would be foolhardy even if its skies weren't patrolled by a marauding dragon.

We would approach from below, makinf our way through the catacombs under Netherhall where we would find a key to the temple gates.

A Tomb of Ice

Information

White dragons are simple creatures, but not without cunning. And Icewind was more cunning than most.

The dragon was baiting us to fight her on her terms. Not ideal. But if we didn't face her, she would continue to terrorize the Dale.

And so we entered the ruined Temple of Othea to face the fury of Icewind.

Walkthrough

Reach the ruined Temple of Othea

Move forward, behind the elevator there's a Relief on the right corner. Go back to the elevator, press both pressure plates and go up. The elevator is very long. You skip the cutscene if you want to.

Defeat Icewind

Icewind fires cold damage through her mouth. If you are not close enough, it will be hard to avoid getting damaged by the cold. If you are melee hitting in, pay attention to the front feet, if it lifts one, jump back quickly to avoid getting hit.

Activate Ballista

Icewind will become invulnerable and fly away making a wind storm after you've taken a small part of her health. Take the way to the side, to the ballista, it will be guarded by Goblins. Defeat them to remove the force field over the ballista.

Fire Ballista

Hit the ballista to fire at Icewind.

Defeat Icewind

Return to the center and defeat the Goblins around, to charge your Ultimate while Icewind is not at range. When Icewind comes to ground, use your Ultimate against her if you fully charged it 

(This process must be repeated a few times until Icewind is defeated)
